Take part in a 40-mile midnight walk across the South Downs

Join our ultimate endurance challenge - this walk is not for the faint hearted! The now famous Photoplod challenges you to complete the gruelling 40-mile route we have designed for you on the beautiful South Downs Way starting off at midnight. The Photoplod, now supported by the Woodland Trust, our new beneficiary, is all about your individual determination to get through, and getting through it is all about teamwork.

Teams gather in the village of Steyning, West Sussex for the midnight start.  The 40 mile route follows the ancient South Downs Way and heads east.  Your final exhausting push will be over the Seven Sisters to the finish line at Birling Gap, near Eastbourne

As you and your team crosses the finishing line you can look forward to a well deserved hot meal at our Gala dinner. With tired and aching limbs you and your team can look back on your achievements proudly knowing that you have completed 40 miles (64 km) in aid of the Woodland Trust.
